Many fish bite if you got good bait

I'm a going fishing

I went on down to my favourite fishing hole
Baby grab me a pole and line
Throw my pole on in
Caught a nine pound catfish, well you know I
Threw all them home for supper time

Baby brother bought to run me outta my mind
Can I go fishin with you?
Took him on down to the fishin hole
Know what do you think that he did do?
Pulled a great big fish out the bottom of the pond
Laughed and jumped he was real gone.

Put em in the pot baby, put em in the pan
Honey cook em till they nice and brown
Make a batch of buttermilk hoe cakes mama and
Chew them things and chomp em on down
