The boatman sing, the boatman dance

The boatman do most anything.

Never seen a pretty girl all your life

She was sure a boatman’ wife

O dance all night till broad daylight

And go home with the gals in de morning

Went on board the other day

To see what the boatman had to say

Stand back me lads you have no chance

We call this the boatman dance

When you hear the boatmans horn
